For Breeders only

As passionate, association-registered Ragdoll breeders, the importance of mutual trust, transparency, and a strong focus on the health of the breed is at the heart of every successful breeding project. Exchange with fellow breeders worldwide is highly valued, and promising kittens are occasionally placed with registered catteries.

Breeding Philosophy & Goals

The cattery places the highest value on preserving the typical gentle Ragdoll character, a strong bone structure, deep blue eyes, and of course the breed’s signature silky coat. The breeding goal is to combine excellent type with genetic diversity.

Health & Transparency First

The health of the cats always comes first. All breeding cats are thoroughly examined. Before any cat is sold for breeding, all medical records and test results are of course disclosed:

  • HCM & PRA & PKD: Genetically clear (N/N) as well as regular, unremarkable heart and kidney scans
  • Infectious diseases: The cattery is regularly tested negative for FeLV and FIV.
  • Pedigrees: Pedigrees are registered with KKÖ (FiFe) and can be fully traced via PawPeds.

Conditions for Placing a Breeding Cat To protect the welfare of the breeding lines, the placement of a kitten with breeding rights is subject to the following requirements:

  1. Association membership: Breeding must verifiably take place under a recognized umbrella organization (e.g. FiFe, TICA, WCF). Placement with unregistered breeders or “mass breeders” is strictly excluded.
  2. Keeping conditions: No cage or permanent isolation housing. Kittens are family members and should live as such in their new cattery as well.
  3. Mutual contract: Sales are carried out exclusively with a detailed breeding contract that regulates the rights and obligations of both parties in a fair and transparent manner.
